Today, Capital Market Wiki has “gone public”, after thirty months of development effort.

This is a free encyclopedia of world capital markets that anyone can edit, based on principles of Wikipedia and the MediaWiki engine.

Special features of this encyclopedia include:

1. a semantic database using Capital Market Taxonomy;
2. a built-in financial job-search network for collaborating editors;
3. templates for teaching open source financial research at universities, with advantages for professors and students;

This is a non-profit project in the “proof of concept” phase, sponsored by the Center for Capital Flow Analysis, directed towards addressing informational shortcomings that have plagued increasingly complex world capital markets.
